If you have sensitive teeth, I would not buy this set! It clearly says 5 modes in the top of the page, the first picture shows a 5 mode tooth brush, but if you keep scroll thru the pictures you will see it is only 4 modes (does not have the sensitive teeth setting). Disappointed that I didn’t keep scrolling to find the discrepancies on the page, but instead assumed because the main header said 5 mode that it was just that! It will work for me, but those who need this mode should not buy this!The base is very light weight. The brush is very powerful. It turns itself off for a second which indicates for you to switch to another part of your mouth. This is the best toothbrush I have ever used. Me and my husbands gums were red and now they are pink! This is a pricey toothbrush but worth every penny. It also comes with 2 glass holders/chargers which look very sleek and modern. I highly recommend this productI love my Sonicare. I bought this 2 pack for me and my husbandWas recommended this brush by my dentist and was not disappointed. I ended up getting one for my boyfriend as well and we both love the different settings that can meet both of our unique needs.Exactly what I expected. I love the sleek design.Teeth feel dentist clean everyday now.I like the way these toothbrushes clean. The Charging travel Cases seem odd, AND PROBLEMATIC.Instructions on page 22 say:Connect the charging travel case to 5V dC input power either from:-The USB adapter PROVIDED-a UL-listed or certified to ANSI/UL 60950-1 personal computer's standard USB connector or,-a UL-listed or certified to ANSI/UL 60950-1LPS power supply with USB output port or,-a UL-listed or certified 1310 Class 2 power supply.THEN, they have a GRAY WARNING box that says:IMPORTANT: The wall adapter must be a safe low voltage source, compatible with the electrical ratings marked on the bottom of the device.IF THIS IS SO IMPORTANT, WHY AREN'T THESE USB ADAPTERS PROVIDED IN THE BOXES! WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TRANSLATE ALL OF THE ABOVE INTO UNDERSTANDABLE ENGLISH FOR NON-TECHIE PEOPLE, AND THEN TRY TO GO TO AMAZON TO BUY THIS WALL ADAPTER. LOTS OF THE ONLINE OPTIONS SAY: QUICK CHARGE. I HAVE A LOT OF ITEMS LIKE THIS AT HOME, BUT THE GRAY BOX WARNING SOUNDS LIKE I HAVE TO BE CAREFUL. I CERTAINLY THINK THESE ADAPTERS SHOULD BE INCLUDED, IF THE SET I BOUGHT HAS THESE TRAVEL CHARGER CASES!TO CHARGE THESE WHEN TRAVELING, THEY MUST BE IN THEIR CHARGING CASE, AND THEN THE CASE HAS A CORD PERMANENTLY PART OF IT, THAT REQUIRES THIS ADAPTER, IF ONE NEEDS TO PUT IT INTO THE WALL. WHICH IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE BOX, EVEN THOUGH THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY IT IS INCLUDED, IF YOU HAVE THE CHARGING CASE.I've owned about 7 Sonicare toothbrushes in the past 20 years from the cheapest version to the most expensive one. They all clean well, and they all clean about the same. There's very little different between the $50 one and the $200 one except for somewhat pointless quality-of-life features that don't contribute to cleaner teeth.While they're great for cleaning, the reason I can't give them a good rating is because they don't last long. On average, I've kept each for about 3 years before enough water leaks into them to break the battery. When I took apart my previous toothbrush, it will filled with disgusting mold inside. My current Sonicare toothbrush is about to die and it's barely over 2 years old.I'm not sure whether it's planned obsolescence or just shoddy construction that makes these die so quickly.
