Updated 11/03/18 - The manufactures are working out the bugs. I bought 4 more cameras. Set up was a breeze. Simply insert 32G class 10 sd card. Plug one end of the provided USB cord into the computer and the other end into your new device. Click on the drive your device plugged into.Open the text file. The default time is 2017- 01-01 Change it to the correct time. In my cases that was 2018-11-03 15:13:59 Use military time. Save the file then hit Save as. You will get a message asking if you want to replace the text file. Select yes.Note: On the last 4 cameras that I ordered I did not need to reformat them at all. It was a simply plug and play.Update 10/28/18 The camera I have only records from 4 to 8 pm. Don't know why. When I figure it out I will re-update this review. As I work out the bugs I will also reupdate along the way.Hidden Wall Charger Spy CameraI had a difficult time getting these to work because I have the newest version of Windows on my laptop. Pay close attention to step two below:Here are my directions:1. Lift cover from the Hidden Wall Charger Spy Camera.2. Insert a 32 Gig SD, class 10, NOTE: Which has been reformatted using an older version of Windows or a fire tablet. A phone might work too.3. Notice the tiny switch in the lower right hand corner of the device. Push the button to the left for Motion Detection or push it to the right continuous recording.4. Replace the cover and plug it in to the usb cord that comes with it. In the directy of the newly formatted SD card open the TEXT file. You will see the default date. Notice the format of the date and correct the date and time with the current date and time.5. Remember to safely eject the device from your computer and plug the Hidden Wall Camera into an electrical outlet and wait long enough for the device to record movement. (It does record sound even if it does not detect motion. It will begin recording a few seconds prior to motion detection unless there is too much movement all at once. Then you might miss parts of the recording.)6. Unplug the Hidden Wall Charger Spy Camera from the electrical outlet and connect one end of the USB cord to the computer and the other end to the Hidden Wall Charger Spy Camera. Windows Media player will automatically pop up and your first video will start to play. Note: There is a reset button. I didn't need to use it but it is located just above the Motion/loop button mentioned above.As promised in the answer section of for this device.This device can record motion through glass. If there is too much motion it will take a picture every second. This is a big deal! You can plug the camera into an extension cord. Place the camera pointing out a window and it will record the exterior of your home. (It is so small no one will notice it.) This camera is NOT a Night Vision Camera so be sure to leave the lights on at night. These cameras also record sound. They can be triggered by sound as well as motion.32Gig SD card will last about 8 hours with Average usage. Do not try to use a bigger SD card. If you do the SD cards will most likely record until it hits 32 Gigs then it will not loop until you it gets to the end of the card memory. So if you have a 64 Gig card it will record for 32 Gigs then the next 32 Gigs will just be blank. It might or might not loop once it gets to the 64 Gig mark.This Hidden Wall Charger Spy Camera does not connect wirelessly. I LOVE that!!! I have no need to watch my house from out of state. I only need these cameras when I notice things out of place in my home. I just want to know who was there. I’m not usually gone that long.I hate wireless cameras because you end up inputting your network name and password then the cameras don’t work as advertised. Then you spend valuable time with a camera support staff in Africa. ☹These Hidden Wall Charger Spy Cameras are very simple once you figure out the Windows issue.Please note: My reviews are REAL. I write them because I hate wasting time and money buying trash to return. I write my reviews for the customers like me.These cameras really are easy to use and set up. Except as stated above if you have the latest version of windows.It works, unfortunately the facing doesn’t fit well on there whenever you insert an SD card, the SD card sets out a bit and it causes the facing to have a gap where it connects back onto the charger cam. I broke the first one trying to figure out why the facing wouldn’t go on well by pressing the SD card all the way in and subsequently losing it inside the camera, chalking the camera up to a loss at that point I had to break it open to get my SD card back. The other one, the facing gave me the same issue but not to the same degree, I tested out the motion detector and it works well but anyone who knows anything about clandestine technology or is an experienced observer will see the “light” (camera lens) on the front of the charger coupled with the fact that the facing doesn’t completely remain flat against the surface of the charger will most likely be able to determine that it is a camera which defeats the purpose of the camera as the idea is for everyone to remain oblivious to the fact that the area is under surveillance and they will adjust their behavior accordingly. Most people probably wouldn’t think anything of it but I am an extremely “observant” (paranoid) person and I feel I would take note of these design flaws were I to see this charger cam and more than likely I would not return to that area nor associate with the person that had this in their possession thusly, were I doing something I shouldn’t have been, I wouldn’t do it and the person trying to surveil the individual engaging in these acts would be left with no closure and I’d be off the hook. My complaints are aesthetic though being as, like I said, the camera does work as advertised. I advise, if you have the money, search elsewhere for your hidden cameras, but if you’re looking for something cheap and for the most part discreet then this camera works.Very good video quality for a pinhole camera. However it is a pinhole camera so don't expect studio quality video.Has acceptable mono audio with the video.Does not have infrared night vision. However has fair lowlight performance. In low light, as typical, it gets grainy and motion detection doesn't work as well.Motion detection is good but not perfect. Motion detection works best if the motion is side-to-side or up to down; it does not detect motion toward or away the camera very well. Motion detection works best if camera is not aimed near an intense light source.It does not record without being plugged into power. However there does seem to be a battery or capacitor that helps keep the time and date stamp clock running for a while when unplugging and checking the SD card. However the time and date stamp tend to drift the longer the unit is plugged in and recording. There seems to be some sort of glitch that throws off the time when the unit has been recorded for a long time. However most of the time date stamp drift is corrected when the SD card is removed and reformatted or the videos deleted.Recording at such high resolution/quality gobbles up 32 gigs of space real quick, so with a 32 gig SD card, it only seems to hold about 4 to 8 hours of recording before videos start being overwritten.Very inconspicuous, so has potential use for low-budget security purposes. Such as detecting and investigating theft.Product works but not very well the motion detection would barely pick up seems like it doesn’t have a very wide view for capturing pictures and videos with motion detection it doesn’t start recording until you’re almost right in front of it and there’s not enough storage space the recording time is very limited
